Taiwan Film Festival Berlin:
Taiwan Film Festival Berlin (TFFB) is one of the largest festivals in Europe that offers a vital platform for Taiwan’s diverse film scene. Founded in 2017, TFFB keeps focusing on excellent feature films and documentaries, as well as providing unique perspectives on the Taiwanese and Asian arts with multifaceted programs every year.
Impression Taiwan: Who are we?
Impression Taiwan is an NGO that aims to promote films and cultures of Taiwan via the annual TFFB as well as various artistic activities, cultural activities, and individual film screenings. Our team and volunteers come from different cultural backgrounds with various professions. Together we are determined to establish this festival in Berlin and try to bridge between Taiwanese films and German audiences. We hope to promote richly diversity and aesthetics of Taiwan and to bring the unique vibe of Taiwanese films to the cosmopolitan city Berlin.

Objectives
The 4th Berlin Taiwan Film Festival is coming in August 2021. This year, we decided to have an open call and collaborate with talented artists who have confidence in delivering our crucial concept, "Who is Taiwanese? What makes them Taiwanese?". Through this Open Call, we would like to promote the visibility of emerging artists and to inspire new sparks and ideas by the collaboration.
Who can apply?
It is open to artists worldwide (Germany-based is a plus), regardless of age, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, or ethical background. Artists can apply as individuals or groups.
Design & Timetable
Design:
The key visual can be drawn, painted, illustrated, or graphically designed. It must function on different media, i.e., from a poster to an advertisement to the cover of our festival concept: "Who is Taiwanese? What makes them Taiwanese?" with the keywords:
#multicultural #diversity, #powerofunity, #compassion, #powerofnature, #adventure, #cooperation.

Timetable:
The open call starts from 05.04.2021 to 05.05.2021 (at 23.59hrs (CET))
Honorary fee
One-time EUR 850 (net) for the finished development and final artwork including all rights of use (if the name is mentioned) for the author of the finally selected idea.
Decision
The Advisory Board will make its decision based on those drafts on 12th May 2021.
The winner will be commissioned after the decision of the Advisory Board.
