Portraits and Echoes of Taiwanese Women on Screen

✨ Theme: Portraits and Echoes of Taiwanese Women on Screen
This year's festival shines a spotlight on the emotional lives, enduring strength, and hidden resilience of Taiwanese women—spanning postwar migration, urban isolation, motherhood, and queer kinship. Through dramas and restored classics alike, we honor women who stayed, transformed, and redefined their worlds.

🔍 Our invited guest director Tom Lin Shu-Yu (Zinnia Flower, Yen and Ai‑Lee) will be joining us for post-screening Q&As.

📍 Venue: Colosseum Filmtheater,
Prenzlauer Berg @colosseumfilmtheater
Built on a former tram depot from 1892, the Colosseum opened in 1924 and became East Berlin’s premier widescreen cinema in 1957. After closing during the pandemic, it reopened in 2023 as a beautifully restored cultural landmark. Its historic charm and modern revival make it a perfect home for our 2025 festival.

Stay tuned for the Q&A schedule in upcoming posts. Join us as we celebrate the evolving stories of Taiwanese women on screen!
